Finding the cash that was sitting still
An inventory and working-capital review that showed leadership where money was tied up and which items needed clearing.
Inventory analysis, working capital, dead stock review
Product Executive in demand planning and procurement, based in Muscat, Oman. The job covers what a multi-brand automotive parts distributor buys and how much, and every order from the supplier quote through freight and customs to the warehouse shelf.
Each order is followed from the first forecast to the goods on the shelf, and every decision along the way can be explained with numbers.
Demand planning and forecasting
Monthly forecasts come from sales history. Each part has its own safety stock and reorder point, reviewed every cycle, so fast movers stay in stock and slow movers stop tying up cash.
Demand forecasting, S&OP review cycles, safety stock, reorder points, ABC analysis
Procurement and supplier negotiation
Suppliers quote through RFQs and are compared on landed cost rather than the quoted price, then price, MOQs and lead times are negotiated. Every proforma invoice is checked item by item before it is signed.
RFQs, supplier negotiation, landed cost, MOQs and lead times, supplier scorecards
Freight forwarding and customs
Each LCL or FCL shipment gets the right forwarder and agreed Incoterms, and HS codes and customs registrations stay accurate on Oman's Bayan system. The paperwork is ready before the goods land.
Freight forwarder selection, LCL and FCL, Incoterms, HS classification, customs clearance
Goods receipt and stock control
Goods are checked into the warehouse against the purchase order, and supplier invoices are reconciled with payments, so nothing is paid twice and the stock figures stay right.
